Cartons St-Laurent inc.
(La Tuque)
In 1995, the company made major renovations to the pulp-and-paper
plant. We obtained civil-engineering work under a renovation
project. This work, amounting to approximately $4,000,000
was carried out during a plant shutdown.

(Bécancour)
In 1996 and 1997, we were mandated to carry out extensive
work at this plant without interrupting normal operations.
We successfully carried out the following projects:
- Architectural and concrete work, laboratory building.
- Fire-proofing of the steel structure.

During renovation work at the Pioneer Canada plant (Bécancour),

in the event of temporary plant breakdown.

Kruger-Wayagamack
As part of its "Relance 2002" project, Kruger's
Wayagamack-TR Division awarded a contract to build the foundations
for machine #4 and the building. More than 7500 m3 of concrete
were placed in 7 weeks.

Pétrésa Canada inc.
The construction of this petrochemical plant took place in
Bécancour, Quebec during 1993 and 1994. Construction
Lavigne & Baril carried out all the formwork and concreting
work for the entire project, requiring some 6 000 m³ of concrete.

Société Immobilière du Québec, Institut de police
de Nicolet (Québec)
The Société Immobilière du Quebec gave
us the mandate to decontaminate a number of objects that
had been in contact with asbestos. The mandate included reconstructing
certain sections of the building in accordance with strict
rules for handling asbestos. Construction Lavigne
& Baril was able to carry out the work
while preserving the building's historical appearance.

Lanctic Sugar Inc.
In 1999-2000, Sucre Lanctic Inc. refinery decided expand
its infrastructure. This major project, the largest undertaken
in winter 2000 in Montréal, had to be carried out
without halting production. Construction Lavigne & Baril
was awarded a cost-plus contract worth approximately $4,000,000
to complete the work.

SNC-Technologies
SNC Technologies Industries Inc., specialized in missile
testing, had to make extensive changes to its missile-testing
site to bring it into compliance with environmental standards.
Construction Lavigne & Baril
built a reinforced-concrete buttress for their missile tests.
The structure measured 4 feet thick and 28 feet high with
a structural slab.
